advice from a 54 year-old marriage

A friend of mine recently sent me the link to this blog post: "13 Principles For a Lasting Marriage."  While most of the advice (obviously) is more relevant to those who are already married, I also found that there was a lot of wisdom for those who aren't married as well - habits and characteristics that would benefit all types of relationships, as well as factors that are important when thinking about possibly making the marriage commitment down the road.
