snow, snow, snow, snow, SNOW!

Yep, that's my car . . .

Well, Northern Virginia is definitely experiencing a white pre-Christmas! The drifting made it kind of hard to get the most accurate measurement, but reports are saying we got close to 20 inches of snow between Friday night and Saturday night. It's the most snow I've seen in quite a long time - and I'm pretty sure it's the most snow I've ever cleaned off my car! Of course, the lot where my car is parked hasn't been plowed at all, so who knows when I'll actually be able to get it out . . . however, the snow was nice & powdery yesterday, which made our snow angels turn out perfectly ;-)

The high's today are only going to be in the upper 20s, which won't do much in the way of melting some of this off. So it looks like we're in for a second day at home . . . watching movies, reading, doing Christmas baking, & (unfortunately) more shoveling!

Oh my goodness! I wish I could have been there to make snow angels with you and MB! Do you think you could send us a couple of flakes in the mail? Amity has yet to see snow!

I love the progression in inches! We have not had much yet this year, and honestly, I wouldn't mind one big downfall before spring...? I can't believe I'm saying that.
