a new low for the Apple empire

So apparently porn is now a downloadable app:

Is this evidence of Apple's continued marketing savvy? Sure - no one can deny the profitability of the porn industry (sadly). But can we please see some corporations who have more respect for human beings than for profit potential?? Sigh. We are truly a broken world in need of redemption. I feel sad/mad/sick at how much more accessible this kind of content will be now. In addition, I find it extremely hard to believe that existence of the parental control option is actually going to prevent iPhone owners under the age of 17 from accessing it (not that I'm implying those over 17 should be downloading this app either).

Shame on you, Apple. Show some courage and do the right thing.
